Bennett Edwards has been a member of our Trinity family since we opened in 2009. Bennett’s work has a huge emphasis on color and detail, setting his pieces apart from the rest. At the young age of 13 Bennett was accepted to the Governors school of the Arts Norfolk where he studied all mediums and areas of Art History. After he graduated First Colonial High School at the age of 16, he received a full scholarship to the Art Academy of Cincinnati, OH. After attending for a year, Bennett transferred to Old Dominion University where decided he wanted to become a tattoo artist. Bennett started his apprenticeship in Ocean Isle, NC under mentor Grove Turtle.

He applied the knowledge gained throughout his academic career to become a tattoo artist, and on his 18th birthday Bennett became a licensed tattooer! Bennett’s work has been featured in many magazines and websites including Bon Appetit Magazine,, and more. In 1995 he was awarded best of the Neptune Festival Youth Art Show in 1995, and at 17 years old Ben had his first solo show at 409 Gallery in Norfolk. “Drawing since birth, painting since age 11,” Bennett continues to master the art of tattooing, and has developed a unique style that is gaining the attention it is deserved.
